6 July 2020 (4 days). 4-day tour of the main sites of JUNE 6, 1944 – starting from Cherbourg (arriving via Fast Craft from Portsmouth) and motoring down the Cotentin Peninsula via the St Marcouf Battery, Sainte-Mère-Église, Utah Beach and thence to our hotel at Arromanches, famous for its Mulberry Harbour (still visible). Then (Day 2) to the British and Canadian beaches, Pegasus Bridge, Merville Battery and back to Arromanches via Creully, site of Monty’s chateau HQ. Day 3: Longues Battery, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc. Day 4: Drive towards Falaise and Mont Ormel where the Gap closed. Excellent Polish museum.
